Old Bridge welcomes the world's best cliff divers - Mostar / Bosnia And Herzegovina

Another spectacular event of Red Bull Cliff Diving took place in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a privilege to be engaged in such event because it involves photoshooting from the water and it is a great chance to create amazing split-level photographs with a new dimension and form in photography. Given the circumstance of spending several hours in ice cold Neretva, which is hard to withstand, the challenge of photoshooting this kind of sport gets much bigger.

Stari Most (Eng: Old Bridge) is a 16th-century Ottoman bridge that crosses the river Neretva and connects the two parts of the city. As one of the country's most recognizable landmarks, it is considered an exemplary piece of Balkan Islamic architecture. It was designed by Mimar Hayruddin, a student and apprentice of the famous architect Mimar Sinan. The Old Bridge stood for 427 years, until it was destroyed on 9 November 1993 by Croat forces during the Croat–Bosniak War. Subsequently, a project was set in motion to reconstruct it, and the rebuilt bridge opened on 23 July 2004. The bridge was re-built with local materials by Er-Bu Construction Corp a Turkish company, using Ottoman construction techniques.
